This class will cover information on drawing tools and materials. Students will learn the basic and essential drawing techniques, how to better place objects in their sketches and create the best compositions. They will learn about importance of lines, different types of lines and mark makings. Students will learn about value - and value scale - and how to use it to create the illusion of light and render 3D objects. Othe topics covered are hatching and cross hatching. No previous experience in drawing is necessary. Materials will be provided for the first class and then a recommended list of personal materials to purchase will be discussed.
