First Stage Theater Academy is the nation’s largest, high-impact theatre training program for young people! Whether you are an aspiring performer or just want to build confidence and make new friends, there is no better place than the Academy. WINTER ACADEMY: SATURDAYS, JANUARY 26 – MARCH 2
SPRING ACADEMY: SATURDAYS, MARCH 16 – MAY 11 (NO CLASS MARCH 23, APRIL 20, & MAY 4)
STORY DRAMA (GRADES K4-2) • $180
SATURDAYS • 9:00 – 10:15AM
Students in Story Drama will bring a tale to life by recreating characters and scenes from the First Stage productions of Matilda (Winter Academy) and Tinker Bell (Spring Academy).
SCENE STUDY (GRADES 3-5) • $180
SATURDAYS • 10:30 – 11:45AM
This class will bring the characters on the page to life on stage. Join us all year long for new text each session, including Focus on Objective & Stakes (Winter Academy) and Focus on Obstacles & Tactics (Spring Academy).
ACTING (GRADES 6-8) • $180
SATURDAYS • 12:00 – 1:45PM
Students will build skills in character development, script work, and physical and vocal expression. Each session, we will bring characters to life focusing on Mind-Body Connection (Winter Academy) and Deciphering Text (Spring Academy).
