Oct: Growing Your Photographic Vision & Skills
Wednesdays Oct. 15, 22, 29, Nov 5 (4 sessions)
7:00-8:45 pm
Highschool & Adult
Instructor: Paul Henning
This is the class that will help both the novice and experienced photographer, Ages 16 and up, consistently create exciting images (it’s also the follow-up class for those who have previously taken my “Moving Beyond Snapshots” class at Sharon Wilson)! If you’re at least somewhat familiar with the basics of lighting, exposure and composition, you’ll build upon those skills and grow as a photographer. This class is informative, inspirational and FUN! It’s a performance and participation class in which you’ll shoot several intriguing “assignments” that will hone your camera skills and then participate in class critiques of the resulting imagery. Whether you're shooting with an iPhone or something more sophisticated, this class facilitates collaboration with real, live humans as well as direct, personalized feedback on your photography. Lots of folks call themselves a “photographer” but that title needs to be earned; this class will help you get there!
Class participants are asked to acquire a copy of “Extraordinary Everyday Photography,” by Brenda Tharp & Jed Waring. Published by Amphoto Books (2012). Available from Amazon for $14.89 new and used copies for less.
