Participants will have the opportunity to work from live, creatively  clothed models to create portraits in a variety of media. With an emphasis in drawing techniques and material applications, students will start off with pencil, charcoal, and chalk to create tonal studies. As the course progresses, more expansive color palettes will be integrated with the use of pastel. Individual exercises will additionally center around proportion and form.
