Explore drawing animals, featuring guest 'model' talent from the Elmbrook Humane Society! This class will introduce basic animal anatomy and tips for sketching from life through various activities, including draw-along demonstrations. Gain a basic foundation for drawing mammals, create numerous sketches from life, and enjoy time with a new furry friend. Animal(s) will be a surprise on the day of and may include a dog, cat or bunny.

Sketchbook: 8”x10” or 11”x14”, heavyweight multimedia paper
Kneaded Eraser
One or more of the following media, your choice:
Pencils: 2HB acceptable, various hardnesses recommended
Charcoal; Vine – sticks; Compressed - sticks or pencils; Sharpies: Extra fine, Fine; Sanguine: Black/White
Optional
Small drawing board with clips, or clipboard (for seated drawing around model stand)
Folder for handouts
Toned paper
