The main duty of the position is to assist the Executive Director with everyday business responsibilities. This includes problem solving and proactive planning as well as performing administrative duties. The position requires strong communication, computer, and internet research skills. Also, the position calls for excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility, project coordination experience, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management, as well outside clients, board members, and vendors. Responsibilities will include screening calls and setting appointments.
Director of Engagement
As a member of the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts Leadership Team reporting to the Executive Director, this position manages the development, implementation, management, and assessment of all aspects of the Wilson Center’s education programs, art classes and camps; oversight of exhibitions and programs in the Ploch Art Gallery, Lynn Chappy Arts Education Wing, and Lynn Chappy ArtsPark; and the annual Wilson Center Guitar Festival. Oversees and supervises engagement team members and consultant. The Director of Engagement is responsible for strategically planning, organizing, and directing the performing and visual arts education activities of the Wilson Center. This position has oversight and management of all staff in these areas. Responsibilities include the oversight and management of the Wilson Center Education budget.
Director of Operations
As a member of the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts Leadership Team reporting to the Executive Director, this position manages day-to-day operations of the Center including systems implementation, facility maintenance, HR system efficiencies. The Director of Operations is responsible for strategically planning, organizing, and directing activities of Wilson Center operations. Has oversight for managing guest services, house management, special events, and HR. Responsibilities include the oversight of the Wilson Center Operations and Facilities, internal and external rental clients, and supervision of house management and hospitality/guest services staff.
House Manager (part-time)
We are presently seeking an outgoing part-time House Manager to provide the highest levels of customer service to all Wilson Center audience members, class attendees, group leaders, outside rental clients, supporters, and visitors. Hours will vary from week to week; this is a flexible position that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Part-time Events Assistants
The Wilson Center has positions open for Events Assistants who will communicate with clients, vendors, technicians, and internal teams to execute events. Over-hire work is part-time and paid per hour (commensurate with experience). Looking for individuals who have superb-client facing skills, dynamic, confident and clear communicators, self-directed, accountable to the big picture, and problem-solvers.
