“The Grind”, a one-act, one-hour performance, features the Company Artists of Nova Linea alongside the artists of our 2024 Professional Intensive. This collaboration between these 25 dancers is the first of its kind for Nova Linea, marking an exciting new chapter for the company.

"The Grind," choreographed by Artistic Director Jared Baker, consists of three movements, each exploring the societal importance placed on careers and the high expectations that accompany them. In the first movement, the high demands are set, symbolizing the "work-horse" mentality. The second movement delves into the concept of burnout and its physical, mental, and emotional effects. In the final movement, the piece examines how we can continue persevering and pushing forward, even when we feel we have nothing left to give.
