Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra cellists Peter Thomas and Madeleine Kabat first met more than a decade ago while attending the Cleveland Institute of Music, but it wasn’t until they reconnected years later in Milwaukee that love struck. The husband and wife cello duo was shaped through their individual paths and performance experiences. Kabat, a seasoned soloist and chamber musician, and Thomas, an MSO veteran and indie-rocker, teamed up to form the Kabat-Thomas Cello Duo as an extension of their passion for the instrument.
