Okee Dokee Brothers

As childhood friends growing up in Denver, Colorado, Joe Mailander and Justin Lansing were always exploring the outdoors. Whether it was rafting down a creek or discovering trails through the Rocky Mountains, Joe and Justin were born adventurers. Now, as the Grammy Award-winning Okee Dokee Brothers, they have put this passion for the outdoors at the heart of their Americana Folk music. The three-time Parents’ Choice Award winners have garnered praise from the likes of NPR’s All Things Considered and USA Today and have been called “two of family music’s best songwriters.”

(Recommended for all ages. Running time is approximately 80 minutes, including a 10-15 minute intermission.)

A music video from the Appalachian Adventure Album and DVD -- Through the Woods. In May of 2013, The Okee Dokee Brothers hiked sections of the Appalachian Trail. During their month-long journey on the trail, they camped, hiked, and composed the songs that make up the album, Through the Woods.
