Mick Moloney and Friends

Equally qualified as a musician and anthropologist, Mick Moloney has recorded and produced more than 40 albums of traditional music, bringing to each one perfect balance of historical insight and musical relevance. His 2009 release If It Wasn’t For the Irish and the Jews celebrates the joyous and creative era in American popular song from the early 1890s to the end of vaudeville. The recipient of the National Heritage Fellowship from the NEA, Moloney has been described as the “preeminent curator of a nearly lost world of Irish American music.”
