It isn’t blues. It isn’t folk. It isn’t rock. Fitting to music that doesn’t fall into a genre, to describe Southeastern Wisconsin native Keith Pulvermacher’s style as “midwestern music” fits perfectly with where he comes from and his approach to writing honest music that transcends religion, politics, race. The former guitarist for the Milwaukee-based LoveMonkeys, Pulvermacher’s first solo album, the 2014 release Midwestern, is “a genre-bending, emotional roller coaster of life and love” (Urban Milwaukee Dial).
