Drawing its title from Doris Day’s first musical performance captured on screen, It’s Magic! – The Life & Music of Doris Day is the unique opportunity to hear the music of Doris Day—who never performed live again after her first movie appearance. Accompanied by singer/songwriter, pianist, and Broadway star Johnny Rodgers, singer/songwriter Joanne O’Brien captures the style, warmth, and qualities of Ms. Day with such hits as “Sentimental Journey,” “It’s Magic,” “Secret Love,” and “Que Sera Sera.”
As part of an exclusive double-bill performance, matinee audiences will also delight in Chicago singer and pianist Justin Hayford’s I Won’t Dance: The Songs of Fred Astaire, a revival of beloved classics by the legendary crooner.
