Alonzo King LINES Ballet

“Alonzo King is one of the few bona fide visionaries in the ballet world today.” – San Francisco Chronicle

Guided since 1982 by the unique artistic vision of award-winning choreographer Alonzo King, LINES Ballet is renowned for connecting audiences to a profound sense of shared humanity, blending traditional ballet choreography with pioneering contemporary dance. Speaking to the Chicago Tribune, King said he believes that "moving is thought in action. So when you see great movers, you're actually seeing great thinkers."

The company's first performance for Metro-Milwaukee audiences will include King’s newest work, “Biophony,” which was called “riveting” by the San Francisco Chronicle following its premiere in April.
