TICKET PRICES: $12/ticket for all performances, Groups of less than 10 are $15/ticket. One free chaperone ticket for every 10 paid students. Cat Kid Comic Club, The Musical

Cat Kid and Molly Pollywog have started an epic club to teach 21 rambunctious baby frogs how to make their own comics! Their fishy father Flippy is overjoyedthat his kids will learn to unleash their creativity, but when the frogs’ constant bickering and outrageous imaginations send their comics comically off the rails, Flippy flips out! Will the club survive? Will the frogs ever get along? And will creativity finally save the day? All will be answered in this madcap musical based on Dav Pilkey’s irreverently hilarious book series.

Joseph Kekuku and the Voice of the Steel GuitaR

Join us for the chance to see the Honolulu Theater for Youth as they bring their show across the ocean to share the story of a Hawaiian native that changed the sound of music. In 1889, a student at Kamehameha Schools fabricated a steel bar in the school’s machine shop, slid it across the strings of his guitar and changed the sound and shape of the instrument forever. The grandson of a royal chanter, Joseph Kekuku played his steel guitar for royalty in Hawai‘i and across Europe, inspiring musicians around the world with the new “Hawaiian Sound”. With a thrilling live slide guitar soundtrack and projections, this production celebrates innovation, engineering, and the global exchange of ideas and sound.

A fun musical based on the books Rosie Revere, Engineer; Iggy Peck, Architect; and Ada Twist Scientist by Andrea Beaty, which spotlights the STEM curriculum while incorporating the A for Arts in this performance that includes top notch vocals!

The Snowy Day and other stories

Join us for an adventure as beloved author Ezra Jack Keats’ treasured characters come to life in this humorous and engaging adaptation of the beloved stories Whistle for Willie, Goggles!, A Letter to Amy, and The Snowy Day—a classic since its publication in 1962 and winner of the Caldecott Medal. Follow Peter and his friends through winter, spring, summer, and fall as they romp and play—starting snowball fights, making snow angels, journeying through space and under the sea, and more—in this imaginative musical play. Using innovative shadow puppetry, The Snowy Day and Other Stories celebrates the magic and boundless possibilities of childhood alongside the challenges of growing up.
