The athleticism, exuberant personality, and joyous movement that is Parsons Dance returns to our Harris Theater! This internationally renowned company is comprised of eight full-time dancers and a repertory of more than 80 works choreographed by founder and Artistic Director David Parsons, “one of the great movers of modern dance” (The New York Times). Fusing together the gesture and movement that make up the modern dance vocabulary with the discipline and precise execution of a classical company, “it does not take long to see why Parsons and his company are one of the hottest tickets in contemporary American dance” (The Toronto Star).
Audiences can expect two different programs on Friday and Saturday evening, although both performances will feature “Caught,” the strobe-lit aerial solo piece that Parsons himself first danced in 1982, described by BuffaloNews.com as “Parson’s signature work of illusionary genius.”
PLUS! Join us for a post-show discussion with David Parsons himself after both performances!
