8th Annual

Hidden River Art Festival

September 14 and 15, 2013

Take part in one of the Midwest’s premiere art festivals – attracting more than 3,000 visitors each year!

Now in its 8th year, the Hidden River Art Festival is an integral component of the visual arts programming at the Wilson Center, which includes both indoor and outdoor exhibits and activities within Brookfield's beautiful Mitchell Park. Previously open to Wisconsin artists only, this year, for the first time, the Festival will showcase 100 artists from 12 Midwestern states.

In addition to exhibiting artists working in a variety of mediums—including photography, painting, jewelry, fiber arts, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, and more—the Festival also features artist workshops and demonstrations for both children and adults, a gallery showcase, an emerging artist gallery, a silent auction, and hands-on craft activities for children.

Activities include:

  • Emerging Artist Gallery
  • Local Gallery Showcase
  • Hands-on art activities for children
  • Silent Auction featuring exhibiting artists' work, held over both days
  • New! Wilson Center's very own "Empty Bowls"
  • New! Additional artist demonstrations
  • New! Expanded food offerings
