Ploch Art Gallery Proposals
The Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts seeks proposals for solo and small group (3-4 individuals) exhibitions in the Ploch Art Gallery for the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 seasons. All exhibiting artists must currently live in the state of Wisconsin, with no definitive plans to move out of state between 2016-2018.
Artists working in any medium are encouraged to submit an exhibition proposal.
Exhibitions typically last 6-8 weeks, and include an exhibition reception with refreshments provided by the Wilson Center. The Wilson Center promotes exhibitions online and provides exhibition postcards, a printed and framed artist statement and biography poster, vinyl lettering of the artists’ names and exhibition titles, a simple, in-house printed program, and wall labels. Installation and de-installation of exhibitions is the responsibility of the artist, though coordinating assistance will be provided by Wilson Center staff. Work cannot be stored at the Wilson Center outside of exhibition dates.
Exhibiting artists may be invited to participate in educational programming opportunities while their work is on display.
To apply, email the following to Robin Luther, Visual Arts Manager, at firstname.lastname@example.org:
- A current C.V. or resume with contact information including email, full mailing address, and phone number (if submitting a group proposal please condense all participating artists information into one document).
- An artist statement descriptive of the work that you are proposing to exhibit or an exhibition proposal if you are proposing a group exhibition. If proposing a group exhibition the exhibition must have a theme and the work must be tied together through the statement.
- 4-8 jpeg images that are representative of the work that you are proposing to exhibit.
The deadline to submit these materials is July 24, 2015.
