This Los Angeles-based songwriter, singer, and multi-instrumentalist, Maia Sharp put on a unique concert in the Dawes Studio Theater on February 4. She has a knack for mixing banjos and mandolins with cellos and violas to create a potpourri of pop, country, and rock with hints of jazz.

Maia has had her songs recorded by Bonnie Raitt, the Dixie Chicks, Art Garfunkel, David Wilcox, Trisha Yearwood, Cher, and many more. Her songwriting success has never taken focus away from her own critically acclaimed albums the latest of which is Echo, produced by Don Was and featuring a guest appearance by Bonnie Raitt.
