Learn how to sculpt, bend, and mold clay into sculptural forms. This class will cover the basics of sculpture through clay modeling, glazing, and painting.

Composition (ages 10−13)

Students will learn basic principles of composition including perspective, depth, lighting, and focus. This is where the students use their imagination to create compositions while learning to express their ideas more effectively.

Ceramic Masks (ages 6−8)
Saturdays, Mar 31 & Apr 7, 10:00 am−2:00 pm
Explore how to make ceramic masks inspired by cultural art and imagination. Using clay and other materials, students will sculpt and paint individual masks. What a fun way to learn about clay and painting!

Batik Designs (ages 7−9)
Wednesdays, Apr 4−May 2, 4:30−5:30 pm
Batik is the process of applying a wax-resist to fabric, dying it, then removing the resist to reveal a pattern. Students will learn to make beautiful and unique fabrics through this traditional process. Other dying techniques will also be introduced.

Stamp, Stencil, and Screen (ages 9−11)
Thursdays, Apr 12−May 10, 4:00−5:30 pm
Students will design and produce a t-shirt using stamp, stencil, and screen printing techniques. Perfect for students who are interested in fashion, self expression, and printmaking! Instructor: Tiffany Knopow

Make Believe Art (ages 5−8)
This class will embark on a journey limited only by imagination and navigated by the teacher. Students will start with drawing and ultimately create an art project using paint, paper mache, cardboard, fabric, and more.
