Theater Classes
are taught by

 

K5 - 2nd Grade Sessions
One-week half-day sessions.
Serving new and returning students entering
grades K5-2 in fall of 2013.
July 15-19, 9:00 am - 11:30 am
July 15-19, 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm
Classes are focused on different storybooks each
week! Bring these storybooks to life through
exploring motivations, choices, and actions while
creating dialogue and improvising scenes to
develop beginning acting skills.
Tuition: $160

3rd - 4th Grade Sessions
One and two week sessions.
Serving new and returning students entering
grades 3-4 in fall of 2013.
July 15-19, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm (one-week session)
July 22-26, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
(one-week session)
July 15-26, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
(two-week session)
Beginning of Day: Each Academy day begins
with a gathering to prepare, share goals, and
encourage each other to do our best.
Musical Theater: Increase your versatility and
work on new vocal and dance techniques while
exploring the art of telling a story through words,
music, and movement.
Scene Study: Dive into a script while you put your
acting skills to work bringing the characters on the
page to life on the stage.
Voice & Movement: Build strength, flexibility,
awareness, and expression through a class devoted
to the fundamentals of two of the actor’s most
important tools.
End of Day: Each Academy day concludes with
a gathering to reflect and acknowledge the hard
work of fellow students.
Tuition:

(one-week session)
$375 (two-week session)

5th - 12th Grade Sessions
Two week sessions.
Serving new and returning students entering
grades 5-12 in fall of 2013.

July 29 - August 9, 8:45 am - 4:15 pm

Beginning of Day: Each Academy day begins
with a gathering to prepare, share goals, and
encourage each other to do our best.
Acting Theory: Explore character, relationships,
action and text while developing overall acting
skills and confidence.
Improvisation: Develop expressiveness,
spontaneity, and train you brain to think quickly
and with reason through improvisational character
and scene work.
Musical Theater: Increase your versatility and
work on new vocal and dance techniques while
exploring the art of telling a story through
words, music, and movement.
Shakespeare: Examine dynamic language,
characters, and plots in scenes and monologues
from one of the most influential playwrights in
history.
Voice & Movement: Build strength, flexibility,
awareness, and expression through a class
devoted to the fundamentals of two of the
actor’s most important tools.
End of Day: Each Academy day concludes with
a gathering to reflect and acknowledge the hard
work of fellow students.
Tuition: $425

Musical Company Class Program
Four-week session.
Serving new and returning students entering
grades 8-12 in fall of 2013.
July 15 - August 9, 8:45 am - 4:15 pm
Company Classes will work with a professional
director for four weeks to broaden performance
skills, deepen knowledge of theater, and
produce Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella
(pending availability of rights). Public
performances are scheduled for August 9
and 10, 2013.
Tuition: $595
