Spring Session 2008
Creative Drama Class
Students imagine and reflect upon improvised situations. Through this process they come to understand theater, themselves, and the world in which they live.
Dramatic activities encourage self-expression, concentration, cooperation and discussion.
These classes emphasizes telling the story, creating dialogue, action and characters.
Spring: “Frog and Toad” (This class includes one free child’s ticket to First Stage’s production of A Year with Frog and Toad.)

CREATIVE DRAMA ADVENTURES (Grades 1–2) Register through First Stage
Imagination, concentration and teamwork will be the keys to success in this exciting class.

CREATIVE DRAMA TIME TRAVELERS (Grades 3–4) Register through First Stage
Each semester our team will research and bring to life exciting adventures. Travel the world! Set your course for the imagination!

Core Classes
Core classes progress from beginning to advanced actor training for grades 4 – 12.
The heart of any great scene is an honest, engaging relationship. Students in "Scenework" work together to make positive choices and create relationships on stage. In "Styles" actors learn to be in the moment on stage and in life. Specific choices and exploration of acting processes are the keys to great work in these classes.

Electives
Electives reach beyond the core classes and venture into other exciting areas of theater arts! For students in grades 4–12.
IMPROVISATION (Grades 7–12) Register through First Stage
Quick thinking, give and take and playing the action will be the key to success and a lot of laughs.

Please note: New students registering for First Stage Theater Academy classes pay a one-time application fee of $20 to First Stage (an Academy t-shirt is included in the new student fee). Returning First Stage students may purchase additional t-shirts.
