The Wisconsin Philharmonic: Viva Verdi, Viva Vivaldi

Recently we realized that it had been many years since The Philharmonic had performed the beloved classic of the Baroque Era, Vivaldi's The Four Seasons -- so who better to revive it than the Milwaukee Symphony's riveting Concertmaster, Frank Almond? The afternoon concludes with a tribute to the bicentennial of Verdi's birth with a nod to an Old World tradition: his immortal String Quartet in E Minor, performed here as a magnificent symphony for string orchestra.
