LYNN CHAPPY ARTSPARK: TREATING WATER ARTFULLY

Guiding the development of ArtsPark is a set of principles that include the treatment of water as a vital resource. As a result, each aspect of the design mindfully considers how water might be treated in an environmentally responsible and artful way.

Water is integrated into the park: from taking water from the roof of the building in sculptural downspouts, to slowing its passage using a gravel cistern, to choosing plantings that flourish with the amount of rain that naturally falls. Environmental educational opportunities will result from this design.
