Discover the work of 80 Wisconsin fine artists at this unique art festival. The Hidden River Art Festival is one of the largest of its kind featuring the work of solely Wisconsin artists presenting painting, photography, ceramics, jewelry, fiber, glass, sculpture, and more! New to Hidden River this year is the Gallery Showcase in the Grand Hall. Experience some of the area’s finest art galleries in this special showcase including the Katie Gingrass Gallery and River’s End Gallery. Works drawn from the galleries’ stable of artists will be on display, and knowledgeable staff will share their insights as to current trends and how to select fine art for your home. Single tickets to all performances in the Wilson Center’s 2008-09 season are available now by calling the box office at (262) 781-9520 or visiting wilson-center.com. Upcoming performances include the Phantom’s Leading Ladies (9/24, 1:00 pm), Stephen Schwartz and Friends (9/26, 8:00 pm), and LA Theatre Works War of the Worlds and The Lost World (10/9, 8:00 pm). This year, the Wilson Center has created three-tiered pricing for all main stage shows, which means that depending upon where you sit, you will have three price choices. Seats in the balcony are as low as $25 for most shows.

Shown together for the first time, a collection of 25 commissioned works by Wisconsin artists given as the annual Governor’s Award in Support of the Arts. This retrospective exhibition of artworks, created in honor of more than 135 individuals, businesses, and organizations which have made extraordinary contributions to the vitality of the arts, will be on view in the Ploch Art Gallery through September 28.
