Hubbard Street Dance Chicago Gives Two Great Performances
Hubbard Street Dance Chicago - April 28, 2007
Hubbard Street Dance Chicago - April 28, 2007
Continuing the Wilson Center's commitment to engaging the finest American dance companies, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago took to the stage twice last Friday: first with an educational matinee, then with a sold-out evening performance that left the audience breathless.

Student groups and seniors from around the area, including the Milwaukee High School of the Arts, Roosevelt School of the Arts, and Milwaukee Ballet II, enjoyed a special "Informance" matinee that began with the dancers' daily warm-up class and included a sampling of the company's performance repertoire. Lucas Crandall, Artistic Associate for Hubbard, was on hand to answer questions and discuss the history of the company, the process of selecting new choreography, and life as a dancer.

The Wilson Center Performing Arts Series is presented by Johnson Bank. Contributing sponsors for Hubbard Street Dance Chicago were Lexus of Brookfield and North Shore, AT&T, and Country Springs Hotel.

This presentation was supported by the Performing Arts Fund, a program of Arts Midwest funded by the National Endowment for the Arts with additional contributions from General Mills Foundation, Land O'Lakes Foundation, and Wisconsin Arts Board.
