Children will love learning about opera through this engaging version of the familiar tale of pigs meet wolf, set to famous opera music by well-known composers. Milwaukee’s own Florentine Opera creates an unforgettable experience bringing the richness of opera and music to children in a meaningful and understandable way. This performance takes place in the Wilson Center’s Dawes Studio Theater with floor seating.

Tribute to Clifford Brown

Join jazz trumpeter Eric Jacobson and his quintet as they pay tribute to jazz legend, Clifford Brown. In all his work, Brown aka “Brownie,” displayed the rare combination of supreme intelligence and great emotional depths. His playing was only one aspect of his talent; he was also a fine composer, creating many works that have become modern jazz standards. Although his career was brief, Brown's influence has persisted through the tributes paid to him by talented young trumpeters like Eric Jacobson.

Critically acclaimed, year after year, Prometheus Trio brings undeniable energy and superb artistry to each and every performance. Comprised of Timothy Klabunde on violin, Stefanie Jacob on piano, and Scott Tisdel on cello, this resident trio from The Wisconsin Conservatory of Music is celebrating their 11th anniversary season. They continue a tradition of presenting masterworks by composers including Beethoven, Schumann, and Mozart, among others.
